Boho inspired spring makeup

Hey guys,
I hope that you're all well. Long time, no post. To make up for that as you may or may not know already I am doing a week with Mollie's cup of tea, which means a new blog post everyday for a whole week! I've not done anything like this before so hopefully it'll turn out well and that you'll like this little project of mine.
To kick things off, I'm here today with a tutorial that is inspired by boho fashion and spring. It's a little bit out there but I had lots of fun creating it so I hope you like it.

Face:
I started off with priming my face with the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Minimising primer. It's silicone based so it leaves my skin feeling silky soft.

Then I applied my current favourite foundation, which is the L'Oreal Infallible foundation in 015. It has lovely full coverage and a semi-matte finish. I applied one even layer of this all over my face and then a little bit more on my cheeks as my skin is horrendous at the moment and I wanted it to look as good as possible.

Next I used the Catrice Camouflage Cream in Ivory under my eyes and to cover any imperfections that we insisting on showing through.

Since I wanted my skin to look glowy I opted to use a cream blush. I used the MaxFactor Miracle Touch Blush in Soft Pink on the apples of my cheeks to achieve this.

Then I gently powdered my face with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent to keep my base in place.

Since the model in the inspiration pictures had quite a lot of blush on, I decided to add some more blush. I chose the Makeup Revolution blush in Now! which is a very, very cool toned light pink colour.

And that's the done base

Then I filled in my eyebrows. I started off with applying some brow wax on them to get the shape that I wanted. Then I decided to use an Inglot eyeshadow in the colour 358. However, I decided that the colour was far too light and ashy for me so I layered the colour 375 over it.

Once my brows were done it was time to get to work with the eyeshadows. I first started off by matifying my lids with the colour 351, which is a pale yellow matte colour that matches my skin tone. Matifying my lids ensures that blending is easy, seamless and non-patchy.

Then I used the shade 445 in my outer corner and inner corner of my crease taking it very far out and in but not connecting it in the middle and leaving the lid blank. I then used this colour on my lower lashline blending it very far down.

I then took the colour 446 which is a darker purple and applied it along my outer lashiline on the top and bottom, blending it out very far up. I then also added it to my outer and inner crease over the previous colour along the edges and blending it out.

I then took the colours 407 and 117 which are orange and gold colours and applied them over my lid, connecting the purples in the crease and along my lower lashing especially focusing on my inner corner.

I then took a silver shade from a random palette and applied on my tear-duct and under my brow bone for some extra sparkle.

To finish off the look I applied one layer of my Big Bold mascara from NYC and a Makeup Revolution lipstick in Make it Right.

Here's the finished look:

I hope that you like this look and that you'll stick around for the upcoming posts. I'll see you in my next one.

Mollie
xx
