Lil Nas X Makes History as First Gay Black Man to Forbes Top-Listed Country Singers List

Having a glorious year, mainly due to his hit “Old Town Road”, which mixes rap with country, Lil Nas X continues to reap rewards with work. Although at one point he was boycotted by radio and country charts, the powerful remix of his single with Billy Ray Cyrus has definitely proved that he is worthy to fit into the segment as well.

Within this scenario, the artist ended up being included in Forbes ' 2019 annual ranking of the highest earning country singers of the year. Appearing at # 18 in the top 20, the artist pocketed no less than $ 14 million in work over time.

This makes Nas X not only the first black man, but also the first gay man to rank in Forbes' popular financial centered on the traditional American music genre. Check out the full top 20 below and see text editing by the magazine's authors reflecting on the list by clicking here .
